And so they played
the script we knew and watched

sub-altered identities
and myths of Media-ted #Oneness
superimposed on septic sores
of fermented ethnicities

the myth of shared miseries
across class and race

we sink deeper into this filth
we are all accomplices
in this occassional drama of the absurd
glorious partakers of these
endless murders of our shared Kenyanity

but you must remain
in dreams as a dream
it is safer that way
the reality is too demanding
and dreams are flawless
even without pressure

so this Media-ted #Oneness
must remain in dreams
dream-as-a dream

for reality is too demanding
on this our
inglorious.
collective.
but fickle
mental faculties

let us dream together.
